Founding Director

Dr Christian Pitsopoulos

Christian is a versatile and knowledgeable occupational psychologist, facilitator and coach. He has worked as an organisational consultant for 25 years and specialises in the areas of leadership and team development, organisational and safety culture, and behaviour based assessment and development.

Christian has developed a track record of delivering interventions to the highest standard and achieving transformational leadership and culture change. Christian has delivered 100+ leadership development programs globally and at all levels of the organisation, from front line management to executive and board level for ‘top tier' clients.

The diverse range of industries that Christian has worked across include: professional services, banking and finance, manufacturing, government, telecommunications, energy, transport, retail, oil and gas, health and pharmaceuticals.

Christian is a Registered Psychologist, with an applied Doctorate in Organisational Psychology from Monash University, Australia.

Dr Julia Pitsopoulos

Julia has a worldwide reputation as an expert in capability and culture, safety & risk management and human factors, with 25 years’ experience in optimising human performance in safety critical sectors. Applying the highly sought after combination of human factors, psychology and risk, Julia is skilled at understanding and managing ‘people’ issues in order to improve safety and reduce operational risk.

Julia has led teams across a range of internal and consultancy roles to enhance safety and human performance. She has held a number of senior leadership roles across the Qantas Group and 18 years in a range of consultancy roles worldwide.

Across industries and countries, Julia has forged a strong reputation for forming trusted partnerships with clients in order to achieve measurable improvements in safety and business performance through targeted interventions. She is known for listening closely and developing innovative solutions that often exceed client expectations. Together with her clients, she has won safety and business awards for transformational programs that have improved safety and business performance. Engaging at all levels of the organisation, from executive to frontline, Julia challenges norms and transforms culture and behaviour to improve safety and business performance.

Julia has achieved measurable improvements across diverse sectors, including rail, aviation, marine, oil/gas/process, defence, utilities, manufacturing and emergency services. She has a high level strategic and analytical capacity combined with a dedicated and enthusiastic approach. Her deep expertise in human factors, safety and risk principles, combined with a proven history of delivering projects to the highest standard, consistently attracts both new and returning clients to HFRM.

Julia has a Doctorate in Organisational Psychology from the University of Melbourne.
